Closer to you, that's where the Inspiration Tour wants to be!

The last day of school ... the day you got your driver's permit ... your wedding day ... the birth of your child ... and on and on go some of the most anticipated moments in your life. For me, the day the Inspiration Tour launches - which happens to be today - is one of those days! When I joined the Consumer Digital Group in March, I was asked to bring the Inspiration Tour to life. After spending the month of April evaluating agencies and reviewing proposals, we made our agency selection and began to design and build a 4,000 sq. ft. experiential pavilion. This hands-on, interactive exhibit is designed to inspire and motivate people to free their pictures from their digital camera, computer, or traditional photo album by showing them how easy it is to shoot, print, display, share and create wonderful keepsakes of their memories.

Kodak's Inspiration Tour kicks off today at the Taste of Minnesota in Minneapolis and will tour the country for the remainder of the year visiting large fairs, festivals and sponsorship venues such as NASCAR and Tournament of Roses. Today marks the 60th day from the first day we began to design the experience to the day we launch! Two whirlwind months filled with all the anxiety and excitement associated with those most anticipated moments in your life mentioned earlier.

These pictures will give you an inside glimpse of the pavilion for the first time in Minneapolis.

It's been a great ride bringing this phase of the project to life and I'm looking forward to watching our dedicated Kodak Ambassadors inspire hundreds of thousands of people to unleash the power of their pictures over the next six months. Please stay tuned as we will report back with behind the scenes blogs from the road after each event. We will also launch a website the week of July 9th which will include complete tour details, photos from the Taste of Minnesota, and feedback from people we have had the privilege to inspire!
